lexert  LAKE

THE LAKE

Lake Lexert is the largest and most frequented lake, nestled in a forest of larch and fir trees near the village centre and bordered by a picnic area. It is an emerald-coloured lake where its waters reflect the surrounding peaks and is a place that offers peace and relaxation. Over the years, the shores of the lake have hosted a number of important events. It takes its name Lexert from the Latin "exertum", meaning an area cleared for cultivation.
