A little paradise among the Alps

clé du paradis

The hotel

How can the history of an accomodation start from a simple key? Clé du paradis is a B&B situated in Bionaz and everything starts from a memory, a half-moon key that opened the doors of an ancient animal shelter during the transhumance period, a “mayen”, as these structures are called in Aosta Valley. Located at an altitude of 1671 metres, this B&B is connected to the tradition of Valpelline not only for the history of the building, but also for the desire to strongly maintain a traditional dimension, together with trying to combine this aspect with comfort and guest requests. If the mayen was built by Great-grandfather Emanuele in 1898 in the hamlet of Cretes and from here it dominates the entire landscape, nowadays this building represents the perfect synthesis of how Alpine architecture is perfectly in line with its surroundings and its respect.
Regenerate yourself in this corner of paradise, come and discover how the history of a place can be the keystone of a genuine and authentic philosophy of hospitality.
Breakfast, included in the services, consists of typical products from Aosta Valley, whereas the main restaurants are just a few minutes away.
